Angelina Gomez Obituary

Our beloved mother, Angelina C. Gomez, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 21, 2023 at a Victoria hospital surrounded by her family at the beautiful age of 90. She was born on September 7, 1932 in Duval County to Rufino Cantu and Guadalupe Garcia Cantu. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Luz Gomez; son, Jerry Gomez; granddaughter, Lisa Flores; great grandson, John Peter Valenzuela; brothers, Pablo, Nicasio and Raymundo Cantu; sister, Benilde Gonzalez Angelina leaves behind many fond memories that will forever by treasured by her daughters, Mary (Agapito) Saenz of Victoria and Nellie (Israel) Martinez of Hebbronville; brother, Rufino Cantu Jr. of Hebbronville; sisters, Armandina C. Vela of Corpus Christi and Anita C. Chapa of Wharton; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren Pallbearers will be Selina Adame, Steven Trevino, Joe Frank Martinez, Israel Martinez Jr. , Joseph Rangel and Jamie Gomez Visitation will begin at 8:30 a. m. on Friday, April 28 2023 with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a. m. at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a. m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Services will conclude with Burial at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
