Angelina J. Caivano, 93, wife of the late Nicholas Caivano, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at MidState Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Southington on May 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Saveria (Parillo) Trapio. She was a longtime Meriden resident. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW. Her family meant the world to her and she was known by many for her famous Italian cookies. She loved to travel and enjoyed dancing. She is survived by her six children, her five daughters, Sharon Konopka (Tom), Debra Rodrigues (Steven), Diane Rudy (Bob), Sandra Jandreau (Robert) and Bonnie Wallace (Thomas) and her son, Nicholas Caivano, Jr. , 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Mathieu and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Antonio Trapio, Jr. , her sister Rose Stefanowicz, and her great grandson, Hunter Jaudreau. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Friday, September 15th at 9 am from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St. , Meriden, CT 06450 to Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
