Angela Dawn Maynard, age 49 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was a hairdresser and of the Methodist Faith. Angela was born in Williamson, West Virginia on August 15, 1974 a daughter of Betty Hampton Maynard and the late Donald Maynard. She is survived by her mother, Betty Hampton Maynard, her fiance, Charles D. Clark, two sons, Devan Alexander Allara of Pikeville, Kentucky and Tyler Clark of Garrett, Kentucky and one grandchild, Lillian Harper. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Barbara Clark, two Uncles, Jethro Hampton and L. J. Hampton and an Aunt Pat Ratliff. Visitation will be in the J. W. Call Funeral Home Chapel after 6:00 p. m. Thursday, October 5, 2023. . Funeral Services will be 1:00 p. m. Friday, October 6, 2023 in the J. W. Call Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Maynard Family Cemetery at Burning Fork.

Carlis Vernon Justice, age 70 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home. He was a coal miner, a member of the U. M. W. A; a graduate of Mullins High School and he was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist faith. Carlis was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on December 29, 1952, a son of the late James Albert and Juanita (Wagner) Justice. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Newsome and Brenda Stamper. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Darlene Stevens Justice, three sons, Chad Justice (Samantha) of Morehead, Kentucky, Shane Justice (Marsha) of Stanville, Kentucky and Jason Justice (Tasha) of Pikeville, Kentucky and one daughter, Jessica Justice Helton (Matthew) of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and a sister, Melinda Taylor of Pikeville, Kentucky. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Candace Fearis (Carson), Jordan Justice, Olivia Justice, Andrew Justice, Jayden Justice, Jameson Justice, Hayden Hartz and Hunter Hartz and one great-grandchild, Carter Rayne Fearis and also Two Children-By Heart, Angel Ward, Shannon Corbitt and three Grandchildren-By-Heart, Corbin Looney, Caylee Looney and Hudson Corbitt, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be in the J. W. Call Funeral Home Chapel, after 3:00 p. m. Monday, December 4, 2023 with evening services at 7:00 p. m. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in the J. W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Allan LaVigne officiating. Noah Stephen "Steve" Friend, age 83 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home in Pikeville. He was member of Mouth of Joe's Creek Church of Christ. He served as Executive Assistant to the former Pike County Sheriff and 2 Past Judge Executives, he retired after serving with Fuzzy Keesee. He worked at Kroger's; in Social Services; as a Probation and Parole Officer; served as Pike County Sheriff at one time for about 90 days; never saw an old car he did not like; was a loving supporter of animals; a graduate of Mullins High School and Pikeville College. Steve was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on October 26, 1940 a son of the late Noah Robert Friend and Carolyn "Callie" Hunt Friend. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephews, Bruce Philip Swanston and Mark Kenneth Lowe and niece, Jennifer Lynn Swanston. He is survived by is wife, Phyllis Lowe Friend and two sisters, Jennifer L. Friend of Columbia, Kentucky, and Carole Friend Bessen (Alan) of Columbia, Kentucky. Also nephews, Noah R. Friend, John Friend, Chris Altman, Tracy Lowe, Jim Altman, Steve Spurlock, Andy Swanston, and nieces, Shelby Friend Sears, Rachel Spurlock Baker and Ashley Altman Crossett and also special friends, James Akers and Bert Hatfield. Visitation will be after 6:00 p. m. Monday, December 4, 2023 in the J. W. Call Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a. m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in the J. W.
