Angela Louise Walker-Bostick was born on November 16, 1962, in Columbia, SC. Angela was the beloved daughter of Dan and Mary Louise Walker. She departed this early life on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Prisma Health Hospital. "Peaches" as she was affectionately called, was educated in the public school of Richland County. She worked as a PCA, Cook and Catering until her health declined. She was proceeded in death by her parents, grandmother, sister, brother, grandchild, niece, and nephews. Angela leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, Shamika (Willie) Walker, Exsheria Walker, both of Columbia, SC; son, Jessie (Vickie) Walker of Columbia, SC; three granddaughters, Shiquarious Walker, Brianna Walker, and Anasia Jackson, all of Columbia, SC; four grandsons, Kya'leeaha (Miasia) Walker, Kenard Wise, King Morton; one great grandson, Legend Walker, all of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Gwendolyn Moon of Columbia, SC, and Margrete Geter of Detroit Michigan; two brothers, Jerald Walker and Dwayne Walker. both of Columbia, SC; special friends, Eartha Borns, and Shelia Walker of Columbia, SC; special niece, Nikki Hill of Columbia, SC; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.

FLORENCE - Marilyn Dawkins Patrick passed peacefully with her family by her side on December 6, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p. m. , on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Marilyn was born in Florence, SC, on August 16, 1949. She was the daughter of O. M. "Boot" Dawkins Jr. and Jane Hancock Dawkins. She graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1967 and attended First Baptist Church in Florence. After graduation, Marilyn moved to Columbia, SC, to begin her career as a cosmetologist. It is there that she met the love of her life, Clyde Patrick. They were married for twenty one years. She was a loving and devoted wife. She helped Clyde manage his business, Mack's Grocery, until his death in 2013. She and Clyde were devoted and active members of Taylor Evangelical Methodist Church in downtown Columbia. Marilyn spent the last years of her life back in Florence where she was closer to family. Marilyn was cherished by her family and friends. She loved big and cared deeply. She would help in a moment's notice - no questions asked. She could make anything beautiful and constantly shared her talents with others. She loved to craft and used her creativity to bless those around her. She was one of a kind in every way. Outside of her friends and family, Marilyn treasured her dog, Maggie, who provided constant companionship in Marilyn's final years. Marilyn is predeceased by her father, mother, husband, her stepson, Clyde C. Patrick, III, and her special uncle, Henry Lynwood "Limbo" Dawkins. Surviving are brothers, Derrell "Buddy" Dawkins, Douglas "Tripp" Dawkins; a niece, Amy (Kevin) Hatchell; nephews, Dylan and Kolby Dawkins; aunts, Marty (Gene) Lamb, Susan Morey, and Shirley Hancock; special cousins, Dawn Morey, Greg Hendrick and Kelly Reynolds plus many nieces, nephews, and other cousins that she loved dearly. She found great joy in her four great nephews, Manning, Myers, McCann, and Maxton Hatchell and two great nieces, Ruby Kate and Mary Reese Hatchell. "Hector Luis Santiago-Otero, age 85, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on November 16, 1938. He was the son of the late Jose Santiago and Elena Santiago-Otero. Mr. Santiago served in the United States Army for over 20 years, fought in the Vietnam war, and received many awards for his distinguished and exceptionally meritorious service. He was also a member of the Dentsville Masonic Lodge for over 45 years and was known as a Grand Mason. Mr. Santiago and his wife sponsored 12 children from El Salvador and Honduras in their home for 4 to 6 months to allow them to have open heart surgery in the United States. This involved picking them up at the airport, being in the hospital during their surgeries and follow up appointments afterwards until they were fully recovered and able to go back home. He also founded a nonprofit organization called Sociedad Hispana de Charleston that aided and helped migrant workers by raising money via food drives, car washes, volunteer work, and hosting events. Mr. Santiago lovingly became known as "Papa Hector". At the very core of his being, Hector Santiago was a man of service not just to his country, but to his community, family, friends, or anyone who needed him. He was selfless and would give the shirt off his back, no questions asked. He would always say "My doors are always open" and if you ever walked through them you were always greeted with a "looking good", delicious food as he was a fabulous cook and you probably witnessed his fancy footwork and hops as he loved to dance and drag you alongside with him. That's how he lived throughout his entire life. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. Hector Luis Santiago-Otero is survived by his wife, Esilda Isabel Santiago; sisters Yolanda Santiago, Margarita Santiago, Maria del Carmen Santiago, and Lucy Mendoza-Otero; brothers Jose M. Santiago and Juan Mendoza-Otero; children Itzel Alicea (Angela), Livinia Santiago (Teresa), Hector L. Santiago Jr. (Samantha), Hector G. Santiago (Melissa), Maribel Santiago, Nannette Santiago (Ariel), Annette Santiago, Fernando M. Lopez, Cecilia Taylor (Robert), and Jacqueline Miller; grandchildren Danny, Larissa, Marianna, Christopher, Trey, Alex, Sofia, Gladyxa, Jorge, Taryn, Zachary, Desire, and Gabriela; great-grandchildren Logan, Roman, Maddox, Emmit and Evie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Cesar A. Santiago and Jose N. Santiago. The service for Hector Santiago-Otero will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, December 8th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. , Columbia, SC. Mrs. Glenell Jones Nathan was born September 24, 1952, in Hopkins, SC, the daughter of the late Robert McLeod and Bessie Jones. She departed this life on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in the early morning hour. Glenell was educated through the Public School System of Richland County. She worked for Trinity Childcare Center for over 27 years and the Blue-Ribbon Taxi Company. Later she became an entrepreneur doing what she truly loved having her own club. On Saturday, December 2, 2023, Glenell finished her course and boarded a train to glory singing, "I am coming Lord all by myself, don't call the roll until I get there". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, A. L. C. Jones; her husband, Isaac Nathan, Sr. ; sister, Channy McLeod Dinkins; brother, Robert D. McLeod; and stepmother, Katie McLeod. Joyce Ann Deputy, 69 of Columbia, South Carolina, went to be with her lord and savior on Sunday,December 3, 2023. Born on March 14, 1954 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Blanche SavannahBennett (Vaughn) and Aron Bennett. Joyce was enthusiastic about bingo and a seasoned card player who was known on many occasions tochampion over friends and family who dared challenge her to a game of Rummy. She also loved fishingand crabbing and crafting in her free time. In addition to these activities, Joyce had a passion for theoldies but goodies, including music, movies, and television shows. Most of all, Joyce loved her family anddoted on them fiercely. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a grandmother who was greatlyanticipating the addition of other grandchildren under this title. "Col. Inabinet was born in Bamberg, SC on February 16, 1935. He was the son of George B. and Leila Fersner Inabinet. He graduated from Bamberg High School and the University of South Carolina. Col. "Jaws" Inabinet began his military in 1957 enlisting in the SC Air National Guard. He later joined the US Air Force graduating from pilot training in 1960 earning his pilot's wings. He saw service in Japan, Germany, and in 1962 volunteered to be a USAF Air Advisor to the South Vietnamese 2nd Army Division. He returned to the SC Air National Guard in 1969 as an Air Defense Command alert pilot and during his career, held positions in the Operations field including Squadron Weapons Officer, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, Squadron Flight Scheduling Officer, Squadron Operations Officer, and was the Fighter Squadron Commander for the conversion to the F-16 in 1983. In 1988, Col. Inabinet became the Tactical Fighter Group Vice Commander and served in that capacity until hi retirement in July of 1990. "Jaws" was highly regarded by his fellow fighter pilots having flown the F-100, F-102, F-105, F-4, A-7, and F-16 fighters. He was a "Top Gun" with over 5100 fighter flying hours. Col Inabinet married his high school sweetheart, Sally Zeigler, in 1963 and has always said that she was the best thing that ever happened to him. They have two sons, Lee (Letty) and George III (Claire). They also have six grandchildren, Alyssa, Audrey (Lee and Letty), Christian (Holly and Rob), Paul, Matt, and Andrew (George III and Claire). George is close to his brother, Gerry (Anna Louise) who lives in Lake City, SC. The service for Col. Inabinet will be held at 2 o'clock, Monday, December 11th, at Shandon Baptist Church, 5250 Forest Dr, Columbia, SC, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Dickard officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 12th, at 2 o'clock, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC.
