Daniel A. "Buzzy" Richardson passed peacefully on December 18, 2023. He was 89 years old. Buzzy was born and raised in St. Patrick's Parish in Roxbury, Ma. He graduated from Cathedral High School ('52), where he captained the basketball and baseball teams. Upon graduation, Buzzy enrolled in the US Army, where he served honorably in the Korean War. After his military service was completed, he embarked on his 35 year career as a Letter Carrier with the USPS. He first worked at the Grove Hall branch for several years before working for the majority of his career in the Wollaston branch, where he met most of his lifelong friends. Buzzy was predeceased by his loving and loyal wife Patricia A. "Pat" (McAlpine), and his younger brother Michael. He is survived by his sister Joanne McDermott, and his children, Karen Lasko (and her late husband Joseph) of Marshfield, Daniel of California, Michael and his wife Lynne of Plymouth, Paul and his longtime girlfriend Maureen Moroney of Quincy, Patricia Osis and her husband Mark or Marshfield, and Tracy of Whitman. He is survived by, and was very proud of, his grandchildren, Kayla and Joseph Lasko, Mark (USAF), Aaron and his wife Melissa, Kyle, and Jason (USN) Osis, Jordan Gaudet, Shane and Ainsley Richardson and his great-grandchild Ava Lima. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews of the McDermott, McAlpine and DiBattista families. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, December 27 from 10 AM-12PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. , QUINCY, followed by his funeral service which will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Anastasia W. "Stasia" Toomey of Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester and Milton, died at home with her family by her side on December 11, 2023 at the age of 81. Anastasia worked as a middle school teacher at St. Agatha's School in Milton and Quincy Public Schools for many years, retiring in 2003. She always put others in front of herself and was generous with her time with several organizations. Among these, she volunteered for the food pantry and taught CCD at St. Agatha's Church. She had many hobbies including knitting, baking, spending time at the beach, sewing, cooking, singing, and Irish music. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Beloved wife of David F. Toomey. Loving mother of Kathleen Toomey Jabs and Eric of Williamsburg, VA; Erin Toomey Power and Joe Dolan of Canton; Michael D. Toomey and Sheila of Weymouth; and Johanna O'Connor and Brendan of Canton. Proud "Nana" of Lydia, Nicholas, Sarah, Declan, Brianna, Louise, Joseph, and Olivia. Ellen E (Stedman) Everson, of Weymouth passed away after a short illness on December 3, 2023 at the age of 80 Ellen retired from the Dorchester House after 45 years in 2018. She also worked at Glen Security as a dispatcher and her brother Jack was a security guard. Ellen was a long time volunteer with the Boston Drum and Bugle Corp, The Boston Marathon, and campaigned for John F Kennedy and Ted Kennedy. Ellen's favorite place was Disney World, loved actors George Maharis and John Travolta and the movie Grease. She enjoyed going to musicals and off broad way shows. She collected spoons from all the different places she traveled to, mostly Disney World! And crafts! She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family! Loving mother of Michael J. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Mosko - dear husband, father and (great)grandfather - on December 2 2023 at the age of 96. He will be fondly remembered by his wife, Zhaneta, who he shared 62 loving years of marriage, and devoted care in his final years. He was the beloved father of Angela (Vaske) and Edlira (Thomas), and cherished "Gjyshi" by his three granddaughters, Eva (Matthew), Teah and Jody, and most recently, his great granddaughter, Sloane. Alfred was born in 1927 in Korca, Albania to Angje and Vasil. After completing a chemistry degree in Tirana, he pursued a career as a respected professor of biochemistry and principal of the local school of music. Alongside his wife, he immigrated to the US in 1999 to join his daughter and family. He will be affectionately remembered as a warm and caring family man, multi-linguist, avid pianist, active explorer, and lover of art, culture, and the outdoors. Donald Pierce

Donald R. Pierce, 75, of Hingham, MA, formerly of Groton and Mystic, CT, passed away suddenly on the evening of November 29, 2023. Donald was born on January 24, 1948, in Providence, RI, to Walter and Louise (Allen) Pierce and married his wife, Patricia Ryan, on January 29, 1972, in Bremerton, WA. Donald is survived by his wife, Patricia, and five children: Kevin (Leanne) Pierce of Scituate, RI; Kenneth (Teresa) Pierce of South Chittenden, VT; Kimberly Pierce of Holbrook, MA; Daniel (Lisa) Pierce of Quincy, MA; and Karen Pierce of Medford, WI. Donald is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Ryan, Mary, Luke, Dylan, Mathabo, Ruthie, and Ivy. He is predeceased by his son, Timothy Pierce. Donald spent most of his childhood in North Kingstown, RI, until his family moved to Quincy, MA, in the early 1960s. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1965 and received an Associate's Degree in Engineering from Wentworth Technical Institute in 1968. He immediately enlisted in the Navy and proudly served 21 years, reaching the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) and earning the distinction of serving as a Bull Nuke in the Submarine Service. After years of moving their family around due to his Naval service, they eventually settled in Groton, where he was last stationed. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Electric Boat for 33 years until he retired in January 2023. Donald was honored to use the gifts God had given him in service of his country. Donald was a former Boston Bruins season ticket holder and passionately rooted for all Boston sports teams. As a young man he loved to play hockey and excelled in Navy softball leagues. He was an active member, treasurer, and elder at their church, Pleasant Valley, for 40+ years with many beloved friends there. Donald and Patricia moved to Hingham in February 2023 to be closer family, especially grandkids. Donald was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, respected coworker, and a man of deep faith in Jesus. He prayed regularly, read his Bible diligently, and gave generously. He will be deeply missed. Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 7th, 5-7 PM at Granite City Church, 315 Whitwell St. in Quincy. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 8th, 10:30 AM, also at Granite City Church. Donald's ashes will be laid to rest at the Old Winslow Burying Ground in Marshfield, MA, at a later date. Philip Murphy

J. Philip Murphy of Hingham, died November 30, 2023 at the age of 85. Phil was raised by Helen and Danny Murphy in Braintree. He was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School. After graduating, he served in the U. S. Air Force. Shortly, thereafter, while renting a place in Falmouth, he met the love of his life, Mary Jane Lyons. They were married for 55 years and he told her every day how beautiful she was. They loved traveling to their beloved Island of Bermuda annually, where they golfed, zipped around on their mopeds and enjoyed their super nachos and planter's punch on the harbor. Phil was a respected real estate broker for 53 years, finally giving up his license last May. Over the years, he worked for the Chase Group, DeWolfe New England, and Coldwell Banker. He was a proud member of the 50/80 Club with some of his close friends. Membership was limited to those over the age of 80 who were successful real estate agents for over 50 years. Phil was a wonderful father and worked so hard to provide for his family. He was so proud of his two kids, Sarah and Phil. They have the nicest memories of wonderful vacations and fabulous family holidays that included eating, drinking, and dancing. The love of his life were his three grandkids. He was always interested in their lives, hosting fun sleep overs, Saturday breakfasts at Stars, watching Red Zone on Sundays, and enjoying all their activities. He especially enjoyed hearing about his grandson's golf games and attending his granddaughter's plays. He will be remembered as a sharp dressed, mild mannered, gentleman. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (Lyons) Murphy. Loving father of Phil Murphy and Sarah A. Keohane and her husband Dennis, all of Hingham. Proud "Papa" of Will, Neil, and Colleen Keohane, all of Hingham. Loving brother of Paul Murphy of The Villages, FL, Judy O'Malley of Bourne, the late John Murphy, and the late Helen Ann Maichle. Also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.
