Andrea Jean Robinson, 70, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Slaughter, LA. Andrea was born in Galveston, Texas and later moved to Jennings, LA. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Upon completing High School, she attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and the University of Lafayette. Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later worked as an Elementary Teacher in Jennings, LA, and a Camera Lady with KLFY 10 Television in Lafayette, LA. Andrea is survived by her children, Broderick M. Smiley of Houston, TX. , Jared L. Smiley (Teisha) of Jennings, LA. , and Alyssa J. Swift of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Jordan Swift and Landon Swift of Tampa, FL. , Artresis Prudhomme of Lake Charles, LA. , Quanjerika Smiley, Shonjerika Smiley, Jayden Smiley, and Essen Smiley all of Jennings, LA; her sister, Cherylene Noel of Jennings, LA; a host of other relatives and friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew J. Robinson & Zenobia Simon Robinson; her sister, Cynthia Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State St in Jennings, LA. Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. in the Church Chapel. Lake Arthur The family of Mr. Jered Ray Hoffpauir, of Lake Arthur, announces his passing on December 3, 2023, at the age of 46. Funeral services celebrating Jered's life will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur beginning at 2:00 p. m. with Father Jay Alexius officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the funeral home in Lake Arthur on Wednesday December 6, 2023, from 3:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. It will resume on Thursday at 8:00 a. m. and continue until the time of service. He will be laid to rest in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Jered was born on November 28, 1977, in Jennings, LA, to Wilmer "Manny" Hoffpauir and Judy Simon. He lived most of his life in the Lake Arthur area and was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School. He was a sweet and loving man, and always knew how to put a smile on your face. Jered can often be found entertaining family and friends and having a good time. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music whenever he had the chance. He cherished his family and was very proud of all his children. Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Sara Hoffpauir; mother, Judy Simon of Lake Arthur; sons, Cole (Maloree) Hoffpauir of Lake Charles and Preston Lopez of Westlake; daughters, Brooklyn Lopez, and Payton Lopez, both of Lake Arthur; grandfather, Louis Simon; one grandchild on the way; and his four-legged pals, Alice, and Cooper. "Jennings: A Mass of Christian burial for Herman Ray Benoit, 83 of Jennings, LA will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Father Bill Miller officiating. A gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Matthews \u0026amp; Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 8:00 AM and continue until the time of his Funeral Mass. Herman will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Herman was born in Welsh, LA on January 19, 1940, to Denis Benoit and Mary Lou Sittig Benoit. Herman was called from his earthly life by his Heavenly Father on November 8, 2023. Herman served our country honorably in the Navy. From 1959 until 1963. He then went on to work for Shell Oil Co. for twenty years, then he worked for Peten International out of Africa for twelve years before retiring. On February 27, 1965, he married the love of his life and together they raised three sons, as well as helping raise one of his granddaughters. Herman was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where he served as a Lay Minister of Communion and Choir member. He served for five years on the Jefferson Davis Parish water District #4, and in 1981 was awarded the Jefferson Davis District Award of Merit for his leadership in Scouting. Herman was a very generous man and loved helping his neighbors, wherever he was needed. Most of all he loved the time he was able to spend with his family and friends. Herman was a kind and generous soul, who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Herman leaves behind to cherish the memories they made, his loving wife, Clara Benoit of Jennings, LA; his son, Gregory Heath Benoit; his granddaughter/daughter, Ashley S. He served our country honorably in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War. Bobby loved the outdoors, his dog "Hank" and he loved his family and friends. He worked as a certified Well Tester in the petroleum industry. Kurt loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working on old cars. He was a member of Da Mis Fits Bike Club. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. "Linda was born and raised in Elton, LA where she married the love of her life, Philip A. Doise. They were married for 60 years and had the most amazing love and life together. After retiring, they lived the remainder of her life at their ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Her five children and husband were at her side when she left us to join her family that preceded her death: Willis \u0026amp; Rosabella Young (parents), Billye Faye Fontenot (sister), and Dean Young (brother). She is survived by her five children, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; as well as her brother. Mark (wife Lori) daughters-Rylie \u0026amp; Marlo. Leah (husband Jonathan Kiev), Son- Chase Neitermayer (wife Samantha) their children- Ryan, Jax \u0026amp; Judd, Son- Chance Neitermayer (wife Taylor) their daughters- Hunter Mae \u0026amp; Stevie. Matt (wife Valerie), daughter Abigail. Tom (wife Laura), their sons- Mason \u0026amp; Hayden and daughters- Karlie \u0026amp; Ava. Kari (husband Phil Roosa), their children, Finley \u0026amp; Lyla, Grant \u0026amp; Taylor Trahan (her daughter- Renlie). Lonnie Young (wife Mary). Linda enjoyed being a wife, mom and \u0026quot;Granny\u0026quot; and brought so much love and life into her family\u0027s lives. She and Phil were very involved in their church and community. She enjoyed gardening, travel, life on their ranch; especially the sunset rides with her husband each afternoon. She was loved by many lifelong friends and was blessed to have many special visits the months before her passing.
