Andrea Robinson Obituary

Andrea Jean Robinson, 70, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Slaughter, LA. Andrea was born in Galveston, Texas and later moved to Jennings, LA. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Upon completing High School, she attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and the University of Lafayette. Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later worked as an Elementary Teacher in Jennings, LA, and a Camera Lady with KLFY 10 Television in Lafayette, LA. Andrea is survived by her children, Broderick M. Smiley of Houston, TX. , Jared L. Smiley (Teisha) of Jennings, LA. , and Alyssa J. Swift of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Jordan Swift and Landon Swift of Tampa, FL. , Artresis Prudhomme of Lake Charles, LA. , Quanjerika Smiley, Shonjerika Smiley, Jayden Smiley, and Essen Smiley all of Jennings, LA; her sister, Cherylene Noel of Jennings, LA; a host of other relatives and friends. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew J. Robinson & Zenobia Simon Robinson; her sister, Cynthia Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State St in Jennings, LA. Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. will officiate.
