Andrea Dawn Papas Reap2-14-74 to 6-17-22On Friday morning of June 17, Andrea Dawn Papas stepped over to the other side with her Father, mother, grand father and husband to enjoy a more spiritual existence. A native of Norfolk and a lover of the beach, popular movies, and 80's music, she was an outgoing and engaging woman who took on an outgoing personality at an early age. A finalist for "dribble and shoot" as adolescent, she made it all the way to the half time show of an NBA Washington Bullets game and was embraced by the team for her "granny shot". That was the beginning of a life where she loved the crowd and enjoyed her friends. The more the better and she grew up with the attitude that there are no strangers. She was always Grand Daddy's girl and she loved her grand ma as well, never failing to call her every morning to say she loved her and every evening to say good night. Andrea was known and loved as a generous and caring woman and will be missed by everyone she ever touched during her short time here with us. She was loved by many for her infectious and entertaining personality. Predeceased by her Husband, Steven Reap, Grandfather, John E. Sumner Sr. , father, Homer Papas, and mother, Rhonda Papas Borges, she is Survived by a Son, Philipp Reap, brother, Chris Papas and sister Susie Borges, and her beloved Cocker Spaniel "Sweetie". In addition she will also be leaving her Uncle, Mark Sumner and 95 year old Grand Mother, Peggy Sumner to mourn her loss. Along with these are a great number of relatives who loved her dearly and friends who will forever remember her uplifting smile and personality. The Church in which she was a life time member, Epworth United Methodist, located on Freemason and Boush in downtown Norfolk will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, June 25th at 2pm in the sanctuary. All who wish to attend are invited. Heaven has another Angel for sure.
