Andre Kapise Obituary

ATHOL- Andre P. "Andy" Kapise, 46, of New Sherborn Road, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the home of his sister in Greenfield. Born in Greenfield on May 29, 1976, he was the son of the late Andre Sr. and Lillian (Potts) Kapise and grew up in the Whately, Deerfield and Greenfield area and graduated from Franklin County Technical School in 1995. In February 2014, Andy married Heather (Peirce) and they have enjoyed 10 years together. Andy had worked at Whipps, Inc. and previously for the L. S. Starrett Co. , ASAP Drywall, Valley Welding and JC Madigan. Andy enjoyed working on vehicles in his garage and was a great mechanic. He also had enjoyed doing home renovations, being outdoors, was an avid bird watcher and loved his Rottweiler dog "Tank". Andy is survived by his wife, Heather Kapise of Athol; a daughter, Felicia Galison of Greenfield; a step son, Jake Chandler of Athol; sisters, Diane Calcari and her husband, Matt, and Cindy Farmer, all of Greenfield; his mother in law, Kay Holden of Athol; his father in law, Thomas Peirce of Athol; a brother in law, Matthew Peirce and his wife Randi Haugen, of Orange; and many nephews and nieces. Andy was predeceased by his father in 2013 and by his mother in 2022. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 11 a. m. until 12:30 p. m. at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange. A service will follow in the funeral home at 12:30 p. m.
