Marguerite Laura Macaluso O’Toole passed away in peace at her home in the early morning of November 30, 2023, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years old. Born in New Orleans on April 8, 1929, Marguerite was raised in Harvey, Louisiana, the daughter of Ross and Elvina Macaluso. An only child, she was adored by her parents and was her father’s joy. Marguerite graduated from Redemptorist Girls High School in New Orleans in 1946 and is also a graduate of Delta Business School. She moved from Harvey to Algiers in 1957 where she lived for the next 66 years. She was a career employee of Schlumberger Oil Field Services Company, retiring after 30 years in 1992.
