Alvin Henry Hart, 91, of Huntington Beach, California, passed away on March 25, 2023, in Huntington Beach, CA. Alvin was a loving husband and devoted family man, active in all of his children's activities. Alvin was born in Billings, MT to George and Elizabeth Hart on December 27, 1931. He went to high school at Billings Senior High School and graduated in 1950. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Denver and a Masters degree in Finance from California State University, Long Beach. He served in the Army in Japan from 1953-1955. Alvin married Marion Gilmore on June 10, 1958 and in 1960 Alvin and Marion moved to California. He started working in Aerospace as a Project Manager at North America Aviation on the X-15 project and worked his way up through the ranks of Rockwell International, retiring as Finance Manager after over 30 years of service. He worked on the Apollo Project, the Space Shuttle, and the GPS Global Positioning Satellite System. After retirement, Alvin started his second career in real estate and investments. Alvin was a proud member of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, active on the Board of the National organization and with the Southern California Chapter serving in many leadership roles. He was active in the Scouting programs with both his children. He enjoyed playing bridge with Marion, sailing with his friends, and line dancing. Alvin is survived by his children, Alvin Todd Hart, and Elizabeth (Steve) Carlock. His brother Harvey (Karen) Hart and sister Betty (Francis) Beffert and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Marion, his parents, and 9 brothers and sisters.
