Louise Daigle

Louise Daigle

Age - 80

November 11, 2023

Louise R. (Morin) Daigle passed away surrounded by her family on November 8, 2023. She was the wife of Charles Daigle for 53 years. She and Charlie were childhood neighbors (and often adversaries) who went on to create a beautiful family. This family is her legacy, and proudest accomplishment. Louise was born in Lowell on April 7, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Jeannette Morin, and was raised by her mother, her grandparents Jeanne Marie and Camille LaVoie, and her aunts, in a close-knit French-Canadian household. Louise's first language was French, which she often used colorfully throughout her life. She attended St. Louis Elementary School and Academy, graduating in 1961. Following her strong faith, she then joined the Sisters of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary where she spent eight years following her heart, and serving her God. Upon leaving the convent, Louise spent time teaching at various local parochial schools, making a difference in the lives of many children. Teaching was a gift that she ultimately passed on to her 3 children. As fate would have it, in 1969, she reconnected with the infamous Charlie Daigle from her youth. They married in 1970 and she devoted the next several decades to raising her family on "The Farm" on Arlington Street in Dracut. Horses, cows, pigs, turkeys, apples, pool days, "the patio/screenhouse" - it was a house, but more importantly, a HOME. All were welcomed, well-fed, and usually entertained! In 1986, Louise took a leap of faith and went back to school. She became a nurse and continued her lifelong calling of giving care and solace to those in need. In later years she furthered this journey by becoming a Chaplain at Saints Memorial Hospital. She has touched countless lives with her kindness - a testament which can be seen through her many friends, colleagues, students, and patients. Music, gardening, crafts, cooking, and days by the ocean were some of the activities near and dear to her heart. In 2002, the beloved "Cottage" in Ogunquit was purchased and provided an oasis of peace and laughter for the entire family. Nothing in Louise's life compared to the joy she found in her grandchildren: Caroline "CC", Samuel "Sammy", Joseph "Joe Joe", Molly "Moll", Chloe "Chlo Chlo", Jack "Jackie", Matthew "Matty", and Grace "Gracie/Peanuts". "Memmy" was her absolute favorite title. In addition to her loving husband and grandchildren, Louise's spirit lives on in her three children Elizabeth (Alfred) Nutile, John (Amanda) Daigle, and Katherine (Scott) Middlemiss. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and cousins including her godchildren: Patricia Polizzotti, David Dirsa, and Kay LaVoie. Louise was predeceased by her mother, grandparents, sister Theresa Polizzotti, her aunts Florence and Marie Lavoie, her uncle Paul LaVoie, her beautiful daughter-in-law Amanda Daigle, and the light of her life, her grandson, Joseph Middlemiss. Family and friends are invited to attend Louise's Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10 o'clock at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd. , Dracut. KINDLY MEET AT THE CHURCH. Following her Funeral Mass, all are invited to Louise's Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation P. O.
