Allen Jones Obituary

Leslie Allen Jones, 62, of Albia, died at 8:20 a. m. May 7, 2023 at Monroe County Hospital in Albia. He was born March 22, 1961 in Santa Barbara, CA to Leslie F. and Joan Sweet Jones. Allen married Regina Yochum on April 29, 1995 in Munterville, IA. A 1980 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Allen had worked at Kenny Hite Trucking where he loved this job, Voss Rental and North American Van Lines Moving & Storage Co. Allen enjoyed his trucking, camping, fishing, riding his Honda Goldwing trike, hunting and horseback riding. Surviving is his wife, Regina; his mother, Joan Jones of Ottumwa and his brother, Pete Jones of Ottumwa. Allen was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Jones; his brother, David Jones and his sister, Loretta Thomas. Visitation will be open at 10 a. m. Friday, May 12th, at Reece Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. Friday. Cremation will follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
