Allen Anderson Obituary

Allen A. Anderson, 87, of Seven Lakes, NC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 22, 2023. Al was born in Bronx, NY, to Lloyd and Eleanor Widmor Anderson. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. He then attended Tri-State College in Angola, IN, where he graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. Al went on to work for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, for 38 years. After retirement, he moved to Seven Lakes, NC. Al volunteered at West End Elementary School with their computer program. It was there Al received the Governor's Award for his dedication. Al is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Losee Anderson. They were married at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls, NY, on September 24, 1960. He is survived by his daughters, Terry (Mark) Marinelli, Tammy (Michael) Vermilyea; grandchildren, Brittany (Mike), Bradley, Christopher, Amanda, Ryan (Kenzi), Robert; great grandchildren, Luke, Logan, Shawn, Bria, Axton, BJ, Angelo; sister-in-law, Fern Sunday and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and Eddie Anderson. The family will hold a private service. Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home, Seven Lakes
