Alice Jean Rogers, 69, of Mitchell, Illinois, passed away at 7:44 p. m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Granite Nursing and Rehab in Granite City. She was born March 14, 1954, in Granite City, a daughter of the late Stella Kirkover. She retired from 7-Up in St. Louis after 15 years of service as a bottler. Alice loved her dogs, enjoyed electronics, gaming and politics and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Stacey and Ronnie Dethrow of Mitchell; two brothers, Dennis and Kenneth Kirkover; other extended family, neighbors and friends. Memorials may be made to Renee's Rescue Sanctuary and may be accepted at Irwin Chapel.

Sandra K. Mueller, age 77, of Mitchell, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO. Sandra was born on October 5, 1946 in Bethalto, IL, a daughter of the late Orval and Mary (Pink) White. On May 8, 1965, Sandra White married Richard R. Mueller, the love of her life at St. Kevin Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights, IL, and Richard passed away on June 11, 2007. Sandra was a faithful member of St. John United Church of Christ in Granite City, IL. She retired as a credit manager from Sysco Food Service after many years of dedicated service. Sandra was also a township trustee for Chouteau Township. She enjoyed shopping, traveling the world and having a nice glass of wine. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Sandra will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and a dear friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by her siblings, Diana White, Loretta Kneller and Orval White. Sandra is survived by her loving children, Eric (Cindy) Mueller of Eureka, MO and Michael (Julie) Mueller of Granite City, IL; proud grandmother to Matthew Mueller of Pinckneyville, IL, Jordan Mueller of Granite City, IL and Morgan Mueller of Granite City, IL; dear step-grandchildren, Zachary Leeker of Eureka, MO, Brendon Leeker of Cincinnati, OH and Caitlyn (Matt) Johnson of Washington, MO; sister-in-law, Carol White of Joliet, IL; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. A second visitation will follow from 9:00 a. m. until 10:00 a. m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at St. John United Church of Christ, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at St. John United Church of Christ, Granite City, IL, with Rev. Karla Frost officiating. Michael W. Rebstock, 63, of Cardwell, Missouri and formerly of Mitchell, Illinois passed away at 11:17 a. m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born August 4, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Joe Dick Rebstock and the late Vernie Mae (Gage) Gorsuch. Michael married the love of his life, Julia Louise (Skiles) Bridgett Rebstock on June 27, 1998 in Mitchell, Illinois and she passed away on September 15, 1998 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. From these dark days in his life, he has cherished the color of pink in her memory and was a true supporter of breast cancer awareness. He retired from Prime Trucking in St. Louis after over 20 years as a CDL Instructor and truck driver with a perfect record of safe driving and transport. He was an avid wrestling fan, loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, enjoyed watching old Western movies and was a big fan of John Wayne. He cherished his family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. Michael is survived by three sons, Jeremy (Francesca OwensA) Rebstock of Paragould, Arkansas, Michael (Ariel) Rebstock of Cottageville, West Virginia and Larry Bridgett of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Angela (Larry Hill II) Bridgett of Granite City; ten grandchildren, Ethan, Brodey, Kailyn, Serenity, Graciebelle, Alvin-Scott, Alexander, Rowan, Anton and Michael; four sisters, Brenda DeClue of Cardwell, Missouri, Billie Jean Huggins of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Doris Ann Feeney of Park Hills, Missouri and Vicky Rebstock of Fredericktown, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and many friends. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Rebstock and Dickie Joe Rebstock and a sister, Patricia Rebstock. Doris Pauline Wimberly, 85, of Mitchell, Illinois passed away at 11:05 p. m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at her home. She was born July 31, 1938, in Salem, Illinois, a daughter of the late Alva Roswell "Toots" and Mabel (Atteberry) Barrall. She married Herbert "Keith" Wimberly on December 31, 1954, and he passed away on January 27, 2010. Doris retired as a Pharmacy Technician in April 2017 after 43 years of dedicated service in many capacities with Kmart in Granite City. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Granite City. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts through the years, loved being outdoors, gardening and tending to her yard and roses. Doris cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to attend, watch or participate in their many life opportunities. Being a devoted, loving and proud grandma was her greatest accomplishment in her life. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Taylor of Granite City; a daughter-in-law, Judy Brandt of Lebanon; five grandchildren and spouses, Robert Keith Wimberly, Amanda "Amy" and Joe Kremers, Nicholas and Draya Wimberly, Erica Taylor and Patrick and Ashley Brandt; ten great grandchildren, Dakota Kremers, Rhilye Kremers, Bradyn Kremers, Lola McDowell, Bentlee Wiesehan, Dean Wimberly, Memphis Taylor, Adaline Brandt, Phil Brandt and Gracie Brandt; two sisters, Vicky Lynn Ande of Eldorado and Hazel Denise Lewis of Eldorado; a brother, Robby Kevin Barrall of Eldorado; dear friend, Edna Canter of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
