"Obituary for Alice Jeanne Mould 3/23/1939 to 9/23/2023 Alice Jeanne Mould, age 84, of Wasilla, Alaska went to be with Jesus, family, and friends on 9/23/23. Alice was born on 3/23/1939 to Alden Northrup and Dorothy (Owens) Northrup. After graduating from Letchworth High School in Gainesville, NY in 1957. She met Robert Mould while she was working at Earl's Restaurant in Chaffee, NY. She always said that he was a "hunk. " They were married on 12/27/1958. They spent time at numerous Air Force bases: Plattsburgh Air Force Base, Plattsburgh, NY, Malstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, MT, Howard Air Force Base Canal Zone, Panama, and F. E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, WY. They had three children: Melanie, Lori (Eric), and Robert Jr (Kim). She has six grandchildren: Josh (Jamie), Christina (Rowan), Daniel, Alicia (Bobby), Gregg (Shawna), and Misty. She has nine great-grandchildren: Autum, Anaka, Athena, Nick, James, MacKenzie, Darrion, Kelton, and Maxwell. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Alden and Dorothy Northrup, sisters: Deannie and Alberta, and her brothers: Eddie, Earl, Walter, and Don. Alice was a good and faithful servant of the Lord. She always said, "I have a Friend who loves you very much and His name is Jesus. He wants you to be a part of His family. " She was the rock who held the family together. She provided a solid foundation for everyone around her and was always putting others first. One of her goals in life was to make sure that her family, friends, and anyone she encountered knew that Jesus loved them. Her Celebration of Life will be held at the South Lions Picnic Shelter in Lions Park, Cheyenne, WY on October 7, 2023, at 11am. Please bring a camp chair, if needed. There will be an additional Celebration of Life to be held at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, 303 NY-39, Arcade, NY on November 4, 2023, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local Hospice Care. Have a Jesus day!"

Sean Wendell O'Quinn, 52, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed away on September 11, 2023 after battling with cancer for over two years. Sean was born on February 17, 1971 to parents Shelene and Dwight O'Quinn in Biloxi, Mississippi. After Sean graduated from Brandon High School, in 1989, he worked at the Miami Seaquarium of which he had loved working with dolphins and other marine animals. Then following this, he decided to study nursing and attended Wallace Community College. After graduating from nursing school he started working as a med-surg nurse at Vaughan Hospital in Alabama, which started his over 25 years career in different areas of nursing. In the latter half of his nursing career, he worked with an amazing crew at ANMC Fast Track ER. He called them as his work family. He also had a love for flying and had attended Delta Connection Flight Academy. In 1995, Sean met Sivien at Selma, Alabama after having worked with Sivien's mother (K. C. Kongchan) at Vaughan hospital. Sean and Sivien got married in 1997. Sean and Sivien went on to have 3 children: Shane (23), Nathaniel(21), and Nadia(14). Sean loved the great outdoors of Alaska and spending precious time with family. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, hiking, camping, flying, building computers, woodworking, writing, reading, and traveling. Sean was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lionel O'Quinn and also his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Hardy Evans. He is survived by his wife Sivien Kongchan O'Quinn, sons Shane O'Quinn & Nathaniel O'Quinn, daughter Nadia O'Quinn, father Dwight O'Quinn, mother Shelene O'Quinn, and sister Jeanene Seoane. Sean will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He had a courageous spirit, adventurous soul, humorous storytelling, and a very loving and caring nature. We love you so very much, Sean. Special thanks to the crew at ANMC Fast Track ER for your love and support. Also, special thanks to Midnight Sun Oncology for their excellent care of Sean throughout his cancer treatment. William (Bill) Towns of Wasilla Alaska "jumped the fence; that wild horse is off to greener pastures in the sky" with family at his side. Born in Glade Park, Colorado to Jeremiah (Jerry) Towns and Margaret Hatfield Towns on December 11, 1931. Bill joined the US Army in 1949 and was discharged in 1951. Bill met the love of his life, Helen Williams and they were married May 2, 1953 in Carson City NV. They soon started their family with the arrival of son Dwayne and 7 years later the arrival of another son Calvin. Bill and Helen lived in California from 1959-1972 then traveled to Alaska in 1972 with their youngest son Calvin and remained until 1992. He owned his own business Bell Auto Body, and was employed by Los Angeles County, Anchorage Chrysler, Alaska Sales & Service and Consolidated Body Works as an autobody repairman. After retirement their travels took them to Oroville California. They also visited Russia, Germany, Ireland, England, Canada, and Mexico. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen, in 2011, sisters - Joyce, Josephine, Gladys, Vera & brothers - Clifford & Richard. He is survived by sister Betty Frazer, son Calvin (Kathleen) and their children Kamela, Kyrie (Andrew) Kristian; son Dwayne and his children Cayne (Destiny) and Kayce; great-grandchildren - Kaydence, Alyxzander, Isaia, C. Asher, Sebastian, Caylee & Bohdi. Along with several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in Alaska & California at a later date.Show more

Longtime Alaska resident, Alice Elizabeth Dial, 77, passed away on February 6, 2023, at her home in Wasilla with her husband and son by her side. She fought her cancer for over 20 years. Alice was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Born in Anchorage to Gladys Larson Chmiel and Stanley Chmiel, Alice graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1963. Gladys, along with siblings and parents Fred and Laura Larson, were original Colonists in the Matanuska Valley, arriving in 1935. The family had a potato farm in Palmer where Alice spent many childhood summers planting, tending crops and harvesting. Aside from living in International Falls, Minnesota, for a short time as a young girl, Alice grew up in Anchorage and lived in Alaska for 75 years. Alice had been a resident of Wasilla from 1989 until her passing. Alice's son, Wade, was born in 1967 in Anchorage and graduated from Dimond High School. Alice married Bud Dial, the love of her life, in February 1981. The family moved to Bethel, AK for two years in 1982 and she began her state employment with Health and Social Services. Moving back to Anchorage, she went to work for The State Department of Transportation, and State Department of Veterans Affairs. She began work as a 911 Dispatcher for Palmer Police Department and retired in 2000. Alice was a beautiful soul; down to earth, witty, and loved time with family and friends. Perhaps her greatest joy, aside from her family, was gardening. Alice touched countless people throughout her life with her kindness, love, and generosity. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Preceded in passing by her Parents, Gladys and Maurice Dixson; Father, Stanley Chmiel; Brothers, Joe Chmiel, Donald Chmiel, and Kenny Chmiel; Sister, CarolAnn Chmiel; Survived by her husband, Bud Dial, and son Wade Thomas; Granddaughter Kirsten Thomas, and Great Granddaughter, Claire Warren; Step-Son Rodney (Lisa) Dial, and Step-Daughter Rhonda (Tim) Ackman; Brothers, Morgan Chmiel, William (Irina) Dixson; Richard (Ginny) Dixson; and Sister Ruth Dixson McPherren (Guy) McPherren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial will be held at Scenic Park Bible Church in Anchorage on March 11th at 11AM.Show more

Christopher William Jones of Wasilla, Alaska was called to the great body shop in heaven on December 1, 2022. He was a former resident of Anchorage and Eagle River, Alaska, Grayling and Frederic, Michigan, and Comanche, Oklahoma. He is survived by his daughter Maia J. Jones of Anchorage, Alaska, and son Tygian R. Jones of Wasilla, Alaska; his mother Joanne M. Barthlow (Owen M. Larson) Eagle River, Alaska; his sister Heather M. Jones (Bradley Rush) of Anchorage, Alaska; niece Lexi M. Jones (Levi Izatt) of Anchorage, Alaska; nephew Zachery A. Jones of Ketchikan, Alaska, and grandniece Zoe M. Izatt of Anchorage, Alaska. Included as survivors is his close friend of 20 years Charley Neal of Wasilla, Alaska and countless other friends who loved and cherished his bright spirit and big heart. Christopher is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Jones of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother Joseph A. Jones of Kalkaska, Michigan; maternal grandparents Thomas H. and Betty J. Swarthout of Kalkaska, Michigan; maternal great grandparents Webster and Louella May of Deltona, Florida. Christopher was employed at Valley Auto in Wasilla, Alaska. He was a hard worker and master at his trade. He is well known for his exceptional ability to renovate broken vehicles and make them beautiful again. His can-do attitude and willingness to help anyone is an inspiration to all of us. He will be missed by so many and will remain forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank a dear friend of the family, Diana Grzelka of Dryden, Michigan for helping the family through this very trying time. Paul James Rickards, 29, of Wasilla, Alaska, passed 10:47 p. m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Paul was born September 30, 1993 in Newport News, Virginia, the son of Kurt Howard Rickards and Kimberly Belle (Brown) Rickards, who both survive. He is also survived by two sisters, Kristin (Casey) Renison and Maddy (George Beard) Rickards, nieces, Ellie Belle Renison and Posie Belle Beard, maternal grandmother, Peggy "Sue" Brown, paternal grandmother, Nora "Mamaw" Rickards, first cousin (brother), Jon Rickards, and uncle, Scott Rickards. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Larry "Papaw" Brown. Paul was an active member of the United States Air Force. He served in Iraq, graduated from security forces technical training with honors, was a combat arms instructor, and reached the rank of Master Sergeant by the young age of 28. He had many interests and hobbies that include hiking, camping, running, kayaking, lifting weights, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, back mountain skiing, ice fishing, fly fishing, deep sea fishing, big game hunting, off roading, shooting, traveling, road trips, audio books, history, football, golfing, and making memories with friends and family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Brian Birkhimer and Gino Lizaruga officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, 300 Brookside Re Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p. m. until the time of service on Monday. Casual attire preferred.
