Alegria Locher Horton, passed away on June 18, 2022 due to complications from COVID 19. She was 81 years old. Alegria Locher Horton, nicknamed "Millie", was born August 8, 1940 in northern Phillipines. She was adopted at an early age. She married William P. Locher, USN, and of this union, William P. Locher and Aaron C. Locher were born. Millie was very proud of her boys. They graduated from Florida State University with engineering degrees. Aaron joined the Marines and went through pilot training, later becoming a helicopter pilot. Bill was recruited on campus by General Motors. Millie liked to tell the story of the first time she came to American soil. She first visited Anchorage Alaska, and she refused to get off the plane as it was snowing and very cold. The untold story is that she was 9 months pregnant with Bill. They refueled the plane with her still inside it. She was married to her first husband for 15 years.
