Alderson "Whis" Hamilton of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 85 years and 4 months. He was born Saturday, December 23, 1933, at Red Bush, KY, son of the late William Brady & Amanda Skaggs Hamilton. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Wallin. This union was blessed with two daughters, Charlene & Debra. He was a steel worker for LTD Steel for over 33 years and a member of the United Steel Workers Union # 1011. He was also a member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755 for over 50 years. He was of the Baptist Faith and was good Christian man, being saved and Baptized in the 1960's. He raised his family in a good Christian environment. He loved singing and the Lord blessed him a beautiful singing voice. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Wallin Hamilton; four brothers, Kenneth, an infant brother, Garland, & Carl Hamilton; and one sister, Matelean Hamilton. He is survived by his two daughters & sons-in-law, Charlene Hamilton Ferguson & Joey and Debra Hamilton Ferguson & Michael all of West Liberty, KY; six grandchildren, Christopher & Bonnie Ferguson, Timothy & Allison Ferguson, Nicholas & Heather Ferguson, Stacy Brashear, Rodney Ferguson, and Amanda & Cameron Cantrell; eight great grandchildren, Matthew Ferguson, Zach Elam, Mallory Brashear, Sam Ferguson, Andrew Alderson Ferguson, Montana Brashear, Elijah Ferguson, and Brycen Ferguson; and one brother, Alfred Franklin Hamilton & Amanda of Elizabethtown, KY. Funeral service 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home with Elder Joey Ferguson, Elder James Wallin, and Elder Jerry Brown officiating with burial to follow in the Anthony Ison Cemetery, Moon, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019, with Masonic Services to be conducted by Elkfork Lodge #755. Pallbearers: Chris Ferguson, Tim Ferguson, Nicholas Ferguson, Rodney Ferguson, Cameron Cantrell, and Brad Adkins. Honorary Pallbearers: Matthew Ferguson, Sam Ferguson, Drew Ferguson, Elijah Ferguson, Montana Brashear, Zach Elam, Mallory Brashear, and Brycen Ferguson.
