April 23, 2023
Shreveport, LA
Albert M. Hunt, born on May 12, 1926, bid farewell to this world on April 17, 2023, but he will forever be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones. He was reunited with his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and his son, Hubert Hunt, in heaven. Albert's passing leaves behind his daughter, Evelyn Novak, her husband Don Novak, granddaughter Amanda Allen, her husband Todd Allen, and grandson Jay Burry and his wife Missa Burry and 7 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. His legacy of love and laughter will continue through all of them, spread across California, Texas, and Louisiana. As a young man, Albert served in the US Army during World War II and fought in the historic Battle of the Bulge in Germany. He lived most of his life in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was a real Southern gentleman. His best hobbies were gardening and fishing, and he could often be found tending to his beautiful plants or fishing for the biggest catch of the day. Albert was a character and a half. He loved playing bingo, and enjoyed the company of his VA roommates. He had a very funny sense of humor that made him a favorite wherever he went. His last words to his loved ones just 9 days before his passing were, "I love you. " Those words will be treasured by all who heard them, and his love will continue to live on. Albert M. Hunt will be dearly missed, but his spirit of love, humor, and joy will always be remembered. Rest in peace, sweet Albert.
