Obituary Alan Barry Kessler, aged 80, of Southbury, CT, passed away on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at Danbury Hospital, due to Cardiac Arrest related to Myelodysplastic syndrome. Born on November 15th, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up as a shy child but demonstrated remarkable academic talent. Alan attended Brooklyn Tech High School, later pursuing his education at Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. What defied convention was that Alan managed to pass all his academic tests at the Polytechnic Institute, studying to be a chemical engineer. Despite rarely attending classes and focusing on chess and music, he easily mastered his academic studies with minimal effort. His chess skills were indeed impressive, reflecting his stoic determination, quiet intellect, and modest approach to success. On November 13th, 1964, in NYC, Alan married the love of his life, Linda Kessler (Greenberg). Throughout his life, Alan held positions at Lever Brothers and General Foods, where his insight, sharp intellect, and creative thinking benefited his work teams. He took great pride in his problem-solving abilities through analytical and out-of-the-box thinking, showcasing his intelligence. In his military service with the ROTC and the Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam era, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant and made significant contributions, solving complex engineering challenges with limited resources. He exemplified devotion to his duties. Alan's life took him to various places, including Brooklyn, NY, Ramsey, NJ, Weston, CT, and finally, Southbury, CT. He had a diverse range of interests, including chess, music, bridge, and computers, reflecting his multifaceted nature. He had a keen interest in politics, reading history books, and following the news closely. Alan was deeply concerned about the future of the country and expressed strong opinions about American political society's trajectory, reflecting his deep care for others and kindness. Alan is survived by his son, James, his daughter, Elizabeth, and his grandson, Eli. He also leaves behind his close friend, Ron Kaprov. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Linda. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Farband Cemetery in Morris, CT. Janet Wildman Obituary Janet Wildman, 94, passed on November 12, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She resided in Washington, CT for over 65 years and was a beloved member of her community. She was the daughter of Donald and Hazel (Wiley) Hedden. After graduating from college, she worked as a clerk in the Litchfield Superior Court. She was then elected Judge of Probate in the town of Washington, where she served for over 22 years. One of her many duties, included Justice of the Peace, performing countless marriages over the years. Janet was a strong and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many. She loved all sports, but especially UCONN Basketball, Shepaug Baseball and the Little League Worlds Series. Janet was involved in many aspects of Politics on both a local and state level and in her down time she loved to needlepoint and read. Janet leaves behind her son Philip A. Wildman of Washington, her daughter Sally H. Gorman and husband Hugh of Woodbury, a sister Sue Williams of Niantic, Step-brother Steve (Helen) Hedden, Step-Sister Gail (Richard) Dolan of West Cornwall. Abraham Feldbin Obituary Danbury- Abraham Feldbin, a beloved resident of Danbury, CT, peacefully passed away at the age of 96 in Southbury, CT. Growing up in Danbury, Abe cherished his early years working on the family dairy farm and especially caring for the animals. During WWII, Abe served as a navy medic, extending skilled and compassionate care to those in need. Following his service, he pursued his studies at Miami University, Oxford Ohio, graduating before embarking on a successful career as a chemist at Davis & Geck, where he was admired for his intelligence, work ethic, and warm-hearted nature. Abe was known by all as a beacon of compassion and generosity. His presence embodied a life lived with care, empathy, and gratitude. Abe was an intellect. whose varied passions included politics and history, coin and stamp collection, playing golf, and following sports. Abe's dearest friend was Evelyn Durgy of Danbury, CT. They shared a special relationship and supported one another for many years until Evelyn passed away in 2010. Above all, Abe held a profound devotion to his family. He leaves behind two sisters, Bertha Beilin and Isabelle Kurtzman, and will forever remain an adored Uncle to David and Nancy Beilin, Leslie Crawford and Mike Gannon, Beverly and Lonnie Resnick, and Philip and Janet Kurtzman. He was a cherished Great Uncle to Holly and Eric Beilin, Benjamin and Meagan Crawford, Justin, Alexa, and Sydney Resnick, and more recently blessed to become a Great-great Uncle to Charlotte Crawford, Colton Kurtzman and Paul Sblendorio. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Abe's life will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. held at United Jewish Center Cemetery in Brookfield.
