A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St Anthony Church, 8th Street and Central Ave, Union City, NJ 07087. A committal service will occur Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Ave, Fairview, NJ 07022. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Miriam E. Sanchez. Resident of Union City, New Jersey. Formally of Guanica, Puerto Rico. Miriam lived a full life. She enjoyed arts and craft especially during the Christmas season. She enjoyed looking at the beauty of nature especially the beach and sunsets. She loved dancing salsa and 1950s rock and roll. She loved listening to music especially to old school salsa, she also enjoyed traveling, collecting teapots, and helping others. The community remembers her as a devoted mother. She is predeceased by her parents Jose R. Sanchez, Maria M. Uroza Sanchez and brother Pedro Sanchez. Surviving is her family and so many loved ones: Janet, Ramon and partner Jacqueline, Yanira and Yolanda Gutierrez, Luz and Mirna Sanchez, Benjamin Sanchez, Jose and Angel Velez, Emma Marmolejoes and Janee and Orlando Gutierrez, Fantasia Bush, Zael and Jael Norah. Her loving nature, her smile, her sense of humor and wisdom of life will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association and St. Jude's Children Hospital.
