He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He worked in public service for over thirty-two years as a Tax Examiner with the Department of Revenue and over ten years with Fidelity Investment managing mutual funds. Richard was the easiest going kindhearted person I've ever known. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who reached out to him. He cared more about others happiness than he did his own. He was selfless, hardworking, strong and loyal with the best sense of humor ever. He loved listening to music, reading and gardening but most of all sports. Richard could talk about sports for hours (if you tried to change the subject, he would always bring it right back to sports). We are all lessened with his passing. Everyone who knew Richard and those whose lives he touched will be forever enriched. To to the family or in memory of Richard W Cody, please
