Aaron Graaf Obituary

"It is with great sorrow, unbearable sadness, and broken hearts that we announce that Aaron van de Graaf has left this earth. Aaron was loved by many and is severely missed. Aaron grew up in Portsmouth/Chesapeake, VA and graduated from Western Branch High School. He earned a mechanical engineering degree from Old Dominion University and worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Aaron loved music, music trivia, playing guitar, volleyball, tennis, walking, soccer, craft beers, his job at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He greatly valued spending time with his friends. Aaron is survived by his parents, Amy and Pieter van de Graaf; brothers Matthew van de Graaf, of Wash. DC, Joshua van de Graaf and wife Cassidy of Richmond, VA, Samuel van de Graaf of Chesapeake/JMU; uncles, Hugo van de Graaf and wife Patty of Arvada, CO, Jack Lorenz of Olean, NY; aunt Carla McCutchen and husband Chuck of Bedford, TX and his grandfather Robert Lorenz and wife Maureen of Bonita Springs, FL. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 26th , 10:30 a. m. at Green Acres Presbyterian Church, in Portsmouth, VA.
