"Pancho" Curtis Wayne Scribner sadly departed from us on September 5, 2023. He came into this world as son to Forrest and Mina Belle Scribner on November 19, 1942. Pancho was preceded by his wife of 40 years, Dee Dee Scribner and is survived by their three children, Tony, Jasper and Summer Scribner. He was a beloved Papa to his 2 grandchildren, Leah and Cole Scribner. Pancho was an artisan and blacksmith who loved any activity that allowed him to be free in the outdoor air. As a master storyteller, his charisma and character enabled him to turn any conversation into a campfire odyssey. He was a fiercely independent man who was loyal to a fault and fondly known by many. While his daily presence will be deeply missed, his impact and the love we all have for him is everlasting. A Memorial Service is scheduled at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas on September 19, 2023 at 11:00 a. m.

Age - 90

November 14, 2023

Eila Fors Wigren, born April 13, 1933, on September 22, 2023, Eila with her loving daughter by her side, took her last breath on earth and her first in heaven. Eila was born in Finland and came to America as just a baby along with her mother and older sister, Elsie to join her father who preceded them to start a new life in Westerly, Rhode Island. It was here that Eila grew up and graduated from Ward Senior High School. As a young girl she had a natural ear for music and learned to play the accordion. She played at many Finnish dances for hours on end as her father wanted her to earn her wages and put on a good show. It was only years later that she met her future husband, Donald. He had spotted her at a dance and told his best friend that she was the girl he was going to marry, although they had not yet met. Truth be known, the rest is history. On May 7, 1955, Don and Eila were married. In December of 1956 Eila gave birth to a son-John Oscar Wigren and in March of 1961 a daughter, Lynda Maria Wigren. Eila was later employed by Westerly Hospital as an O. R. aide where she worked until her retirement in 1995, well over 26 years. There, she was everyone's favorite girl, always going above and beyond. She was often remembered as the "warm blanket lady" by past patients as she would run to bring them a warm blanket from the autoclave. In 2001, she and her husband, Don moved to Gainesville, Texas to be closer to their daughter, Lynda. Her infectious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Eila was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2020. She is survived by her son, John Wigren and his wife, Lorna; daughter, Lynda Rosaschi and late husband, Rick of Gainesville, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica Wigren, John Wigren, Lydia Butler, Logan Rochell; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Gabrille St. Peter, Chloe & Caden Wigren, Madison Vanhoose, Kruze Rochell, Memphis Rochell, Lane Rochell and Henry Rochell; niece, Jane Bowman; niece, Gayleen Donandt and nephew, Marlon Taylor and many close friends.
