It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of "Maggi" Marg Stewart (Bryans) of Parkhill. Wife of the late Hill Stewart (2000). Loving mother of Mark & Deb Stewart of Muskoka, Jane Laker & Brian Chew of Barrie, Erin Stewart & Wayne Stroyberg of London and Troy Stewart & Paula Webber of Parkhill. Cherished Gramma of 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren. Sadly missed by sister Marion Bryans, sister in laws Muriel Bryans, Betty Gail Bryans, Gerry Bryans, Jean Stewart and brother in law Murray Stewart. Predeceased by parents Hugh & Irene Bryans, brother Earl and his wife Daphne, and brothers Jack, Karl, and Bill Bryans. Maggi was known in the surrounding community for her gift of opening her heart and home to numerous foster children, her many talents in fine arts and her love of life. Always ready with a solution to a dilemma, a needle and thread, or a bit of a story, she was a treasure to all. Maggi loved her park like lawns and her shared space with all winged friends, ruling over them by touring around on her personalized golf cart to see that all was as it should be. Although it's with sadness we say goodbye, we are blessed to have shared the many years Maggi was here to guide and love us. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Riad Darwish

On the evening of November 26th, Rick Darwish of Parkhill, Ontario, in his 75th year, passed away at home. Born in Jerusalem, raised in Lebanon and spending his adult years in Canada, he was a well rounded and wise man. He is survived by his wife Peggy Lauder, sons Bill and Adam, nieces Amy and Leila, grandchildren Avery and Ainsley as well as many extended family members. Rick worked at the Children's Aid Society for over 30 years, and enjoyed helping children and youth find their path in life. Outside of work, he was a loving husband and father, and was a true gentleman to all that knew him. It is with sadness that the family of John A. McFadyen of London, formerly of Kettle Point announce his passing on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Victoria Hospital in London at the age of 77 years. Husband of Mary Lou (Bell) for 56 years. Loving father of Wendy Cohoon (Brian) and John D. McFadyen. Cherished grandfather of Jessy, Kyle, and Amanda Cohoon. Son of Eve and the late Jack McFadyen. Brother of Bob McFadyen (Mary Ann). As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral services will be held. It is with great sadness that the family of Wes Henry announce his passing at McLaren Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on November 8, 2023 at the age of 46 years. Beloved son of Judy (Milburn) and the late Howard Henry (2014) of Kettle and Stony Point. Cherished dad of Briona, Leeah (Michael), Auston (Kaylee). Adored papa of Izabella, Kaedyn, Maddyx, Rowan, and Elijah. Loving brother of Corry & Scott Ladouceur and their children Audrey and Jack of Aylmer, Quebec. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Wes grew up at Kettle and Stony Point where he played minor hockey and made lifelong friends. He was a lifelong millwright and started working in the USA at an early age where he eventually settled in Chesterfield, Michigan while traveling throughout America. Wes was known for taking great pride in his work and was known by his co-workers for being the best mentor they had ever worked for. Wes will be resting at his family home, 6130 Indian Lane in Kettle and Stony Point where Visiting will start Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 2pm and continue until his funeral service at Faith Builders International on Tuesday, November 13, 2023 at 1pm. We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Devan Worley-Greaves on October 28, 2023 at the age of 33. Devan was the proud father of Caitlyn, Daveyon, Kiara and DJ (Devan Jr. ). Devan will be deeply missed by his significant other, Allisha. Grandfather to Elijah. Son of John Greaves and Deanna Worley. Brother of Sam, Teresa, and Rebeka. Uncle to Kaydin and Raiden. Loved by his Nanny, many cousins, aunts, uncles, Aunt Linda, Uncle Chris, Aunt Irene, Uncle B. J, Tiffany, David, Matt, Stephanie, and Taylor. Missed by close friends Chad C, Mike W, Nat H, Kurtis B, Cassie V, Coral O, Troy M, John and Laura H. Predeceased by his Poppy. Devan had the brightest smile, a contagious laugh and the biggest heart. He worked construction for over 10 years and loved building things. Devan loved music and spending time with his family. He absolutely loved the outdoors and walks by the water. Devan's biggest accomplishment was being a man his kids could be proud of. It is with great sadness that the family of Johanna Cornelia Regina Dowswell (nee Timmermans) (Masschelein) announce her peaceful passing at the Country Manor in Thedford on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Beloved mother of Joanne Wellington (Gerry) of London, Debb Russell of Port Stanley and the late Marlene Masschelein (1993). Cherished Oma of Julie (Lukas), Kendra (Clement), Michelle (Kevin), Danielle (Ayren), Laura (Abhi) and 7 great grandchildren. Sadly missed sister of Louise Vandenberk, Ricky VanMoorsel, Adrian Timmermans, Agnes VanGeffen, Tony Timmermans, Marianne Huitema, late John Timmermans and late Corrie VanLeerzem. Joanne immigrated to Canada with her family in 1952 from Holland where the family settled in Parkhill. Joanne and her husband Robert established the famed Bob's TV in London in 1956. Joanne went on to be sole owner until her retirement. A fabulous needlepoint artist who was an enthusiastic crossword and sudoku player and also enjoyed gardening when given the opportunity. A Celebration of Life for Joanne will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11am with visiting starting at 9:30am at Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Parkhill. Anny Michielsens

Anny Theresa Francisca Michielsens was born on March 1,1934 in Kapellen-Antwerp, Belgium to Waltherus (1992) and Maria (nee Van Riel, 1986). Anny passed away on October 24, 2023 at AgeCare Parkhill. Beloved aunt of Linda Bain (Larry Taylor), Vera Michielsens (Chris Neu), twins Sarah Smith and the late Walter W. M. (1967), Walter Michielsens (Melissa Maxwell), Dinah Loera (2006) and Frieda Michielsens (James Eddy). Cherished great aunt of 9 great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Willy Michielsens (2019). The family endured WWII while they lived on a farm in Belgium before immigrating to Canada in 1952. The Michielsens settled in Grand Bend, Ontario where they cleared the land and built their homestead and farm and most importantly, they did it as a family with love and hard work. Anny was a remarkable women who was the pillar of her family with immeasurable strength and independence. She was fierce but it all came from a place of love. Anny was the family member others looked up to and not only a spiritual person who was a faithful member of the Catholic Church but also a nature lover who was adored by her nieces and nephews. Anny was truly a beautiful heart and soul. Funeral Mass for Anny will be held at Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Forest on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:30am with visiting starting at 10am. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. It is with heavy hearts the family of John Grigg announce his passing on October 22, 2023 at the age of 55. Cherished son of Robert Grigg. Beloved brother of Kevin & Karen Grigg, Ann Marie Hills (Richard) and the late Joanne Gilbert (2015). Uncle of Addrinia, Nicholas, Travis, Shelby, Cody, Jazlynn, Destiny, Brandon, Hunter and many great nieces and nephews. Survived by aunts; Dorothy Gilbert, Alberta (Al), Bernice and Valerie and uncle Lorne. Predeceased by his mother Marie Grigg (2021) and aunt Judy Grigg. John was a lifelong engineer for CN Railway Company which he took pride in. John was an avid sports fan. His favourite football team was the Bears and he was a loyal Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Bluejays fan. John was a Nascar fanatic, he enjoyed attending many races in Daytona. John was a very loving and thoughtful man and will be missed greatly by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00am at Gilpin Funeral Chapel - Parkhill. After a brave and courageous battle, the family of Jennifer MacDonald of Parkhill sadly announce her passing on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital with her loving family by her side at the age of 30 years. Beloved daughter of Eileen & Bill Mawson of Parkhill. Cherished sister of Travis & Jaclyn MacDonald of Huron Park, Tylor MacDonald (Brooke) of Parkhill, Emma Haskett (Jake) of Aylmer, and Gaige Mawson of Zurich. Loving aunt to Mackenzie, Jack, Zack, Macy, Aiden, Madison, Liam and Kaden. Jennifer will be sadly missed by her partner Connor Denning of Strathroy. Jennifer will also be missed by Dennis MacDonald, Gary Haskett (Sue) and Bill Moffatt (Judy). Jennifer loved to travel, loved golf and was a nature lover. Her light shined bright wherever she went, she had an infectious smile and she left an imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
